Vision, goals & accreditation
Hygiene education that is approachable and sustainable.
That is our vision. Our goal is to improve public health by training skilled dental hygienists, with partner universities in the United States and South Korea and clinical training in our own affiliate practices.
Why it matters
Better hygiene education reaches every patient a hygienist treats. Train them well, and the public gets a better experience of dentistry and healthier mouths.
How it fits together
Three partners, one group of students, one public health goal.
01The program lead
Think Dental Institute
We build the program in Boston and bring the four things it needs to run.
- Curriculum formation
- Accreditation
- Partner clinics for clinical training
- Faculty for classroom and clinical teaching
02US partner university
Pacific States University
Our partner in Los Angeles, California.
- Exchange and sharing of learning resources
- Employment opportunities for students
- Employment opportunities for faculty
03International partner university
Sun Moon University
Our partner in Asan, South Korea.
- International exchange programs
- A wider view of dentistry for our students
04Where it all meets
Our students
Everything above is there for the people in the program.
- A first-rate education experience
- Clinical exposure in high-end, non-Medicaid practices
- A sister-school program abroad
- A path to becoming a qualified hygienist
05The outcome
Healthier patients
Skilled hygienists raise the standard of care patients get in the chair. Spread across a population, that is how public oral health improves.
- An improved public experience of dentistry
- Enhanced public oral health
